The Most Stylish Men’s Smartwatches of 2018
One of the easiest ways to look better instantly is to dress up your wrist with a timepiece that looks and performs like you do
Lucky for you, modern day smartwatches aren’t dainty pieces of hardwear. Most on the market are bolstered with sapphire or Gorilla Glass (the stuff used on smartphones), adorned with stainless steel, silicone, or water-friendly genuine leather bands, and fitness-boosting technology. These aren’t your Joe Schmoe fitness trackers—these are designed with style in mind, and they look just as good in the bench-press station as they do in the boardroom.
Here, we’ve compiled 14 of our favorite smartwatches of 2018. They can track sleep, display important emails and messsages, and keep you on your A-game. Best of all, they’re handsome as hell.

1. LG Watch Urbane Luxe Smartwatch
If you want your timepiece to have an air of opulence, what better way than with gold and leather? LG's Urbane Luxe Smartwatch adorns your wrist with an eye-catching 23-karat heavy plate and a timeless chocolate-colored leather band. Passersby will take it for a heritage piece, but the P-OLED touch display screams "modern man". It works with the Android Wear operating system to provide alerts and respond to voice commands. The water-resistant watch can also accommodate your basic fitness needs with Google Fit. You can track strength-training exercises, though we'd suggest switching over to a true fitness tracker or watch for daily, rigorous use. *Compatible with Android 4.3 or later, or iOS 8.2 or later, using the Android Wear app. ($399.99, bhphotovideo.com)

2. Apple Watch Series 3 Silver Aluminum Case with Seashell Sport Loop
The Series 3 is Apple's first smartwatch to have built-in LTE, which means you can send messages when out on a 10-mile run and answer calls when you run out to grab lunch, without being tethered to your iPhone. You'll enjoy the Series 3's speedier dual-core S3 processor, slightly more battery power (up to two days synced with your phone, less if the watch is working solo), and better health and fitness metrics, like heart-rate tracking features to know your resting versus recovery heart rate. We also love the Seashell Sport Loop, which is sleeker and more refined than the Fog Sport Band. *Apple Watch Series 3 GPS requires an iPhone 5S or later with iOS 11 or later, while GPS and cellular require an iPhone 6 or later with iOS 11 or later. ($399, service plans vary by carrier,apple.com)

3. Ionic smartwatch by Fitbit
Fitbit's foray into the full-featured smartwatch is a sharp one. The Ionic stands out with its sleek, square face and large, crisp graphics. But its battery, in our opinion, is the real standout. It can last 3-5 days, depending upon how heavy your GPS usage is. The Ionic is also an exceptional fitness tracker, with continuous heart-rate tracking, an internal GPS, and built-in coaching with workout routines via FitStar. Fitbit launched a hugely ambitious digital platform of apps (including phone-free music options and Fitbit Pay) with the Ionic, and while the initial offerings were a bit meager, Fitbit has since amped up its production. Read our full Fitbit Ionic review here. *Check to see what iOS, Android, and Windows devices are compatible with Fitbit Ionic. ($299.95, fitbit.com)

4. Steel HR by Nokia
Thanks to its handsome, timeless analog design, Nokia's Steel HR is ideal for the guy craving a sharp-looking watch peppered with some tech, rather than a heavy-hitting fitness smartwatch. You'll get the basics of your fitness routine: calorie expenditure, steps taken, outdoor run duration/distance, swim duration, and calories burned. The comprehensive sleep monitoring also factors in the time it takes to fall asleep, sleep cycles, and interruptions. That said, you can't receive or answer texts and calls, and nearly all of the metrics are shown in the Health Mate App (the dial will show steps taken in relation to your goal). *iOS compatibility (iOS 8 and higher) iPhone 4S and later. ($129.95, nokia.com)

9. Gen 2 Moto 360 by Motorola
Motorola's newest line of style-minded watches evoke an unabashedly old-school aesthetic, at least by the standards of most smartwatches. The slim, polished bezel frames the large, seamless face, which comes in 42mm (shown) or 46mm sizes. You can choose metal bands (in rose gold, black, or silver aircraft-grade stainless steel) or genuine leather—or get both, because the quick-release bands are easy to swap. The Moto Body fitness tracker will log steps, calories burned, heart rate throughout the day. *Compatible with Bluetooth-supported Android phones running Android 4.3 or higher. ($339, amazon.com)

11. Mission SS by Nixon
The toughest, most durable smartwatch on our list, Nixon's Mission watch is a stylish take on an outdoorsman's timepiece. The polycarbonate case is shock resistant, and the Gorilla Glass crystal is damn near impenetrable, along with the stainless steel "roll cage" bezel. That means it'll thrive in the office, on a mountain, and in the ocean, which is ideal with its real-time surf and snow updates and alerts. *Compatible with iPhone and Android. ($425, nixon.com)

12. Huawei Watch 2 Classic
This updated version of Huawei’s first smartwatch has a smaller, lighter, and more sports-focused design that hearkens back to classic chronographs. Dual crowns, a tough numbered metal bezel, and a brilliant touchscreen give it a premium feel that, coupled with its waterproof capability (up to 5') and leather watch band, is still rugged enough for workouts and outdoor adventures. And because the 45mm watch is GPS-equipped, you can leave your smartphone at home and still map running routes while an array of sensors monitor your activity (like distance, speed, steps, heart rate, calories, and more). It also has quick-start running modes that help you keep your heart rate in the right zone to burn fat or better your cardiovascular fitness. It even calculates VO2max after each run, and suggests a recovery period. And if you like to listen to music while working out, you can download songs, stream music, and check out playlists through the Google Play app. *Compatible with Android or iOS Devices. ($369.99, bestbuy.com)

14. Command by Misfit
Smartwatches are great, but almost all of them share one weakness: battery life. Most watches can’t last longer than a week or two, and some barely last a couple days. Not so with the Misfit Command—this watch comes with a noncharging battery that lasts an entire year before needing to be replaced. It has all the smartwatch essentials (step tracking, sleep tracking, and notification alerts), but the Command really stands out for its handsome stainless steel body and classic analog face with day/date indicator. ($149.99 for sport strap model, $169.99 for metal band shown,misfit.com)
